The Grip n' Release feature automatically engages with the flow of water when the boat reaches surf speeds thus shaping the wave. Upon returning to idle speeds, the wave shaper releases its grip of the water to allow you to easily steer the boat to pick up a down rider. No additional throttle required for turning.

The Alpha Wave Shaper was developed using proprietary methodology utilizing advanced CFD (computational fluid dynamics) software to optimize and provide the ability to make the best wave possible for any inboard boat.
Simulation Iteration
Fluid dynamics is extremely complicated by nature especially with endless real-world variables. Everything related to the boat and it's environment affect the forming wave including variables such as drag, center of gravity, center of buoyancy, prop thrust, prop torque, hull geometry, relative velocity, position (roll, pitch and yaw), displacement, rudder geometry, wind, current, and more. CFD has allowed Alpha countless simulation iterations on various wave shaper designs which have provided invaluable information on what design features matter most. This was the key for developing something that can truly unlock your boat's full potential.
Adjustability
Some hull designs require more surface area, while others require less. This is why Alpha Wave Shaper has an exclusive wave level adjustability that changes the angle of attack. This adjustability changes the effective surface area and the angle of attack, which thus changes how your wave responds to your boat. This allows you to further dial in the best wave for your boat.
